35-year-old Sanaullah hails from the Kanak area of district Mastung, Balochistan. He has received a PhD degree from Sorbonne University which is ranked 88th on the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2022.
Despite his short stature, Sanaullah used to bear the expenses of tuition for students in Quetta. He won a scholarship from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and got enrolled in the French institute. Last week he successfully defended his thesis and officially received the PhD degree.
Sanaullah Khan is the first graduate in his family to graduate from an elite university.
The 20-year-old aims to return to his country soon and give back to the community by educating underprivileged students.
