The chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has ordered KP Public Service Commission (KPPSC) to speed up the recruitment process of new teachers. Mahmood Khan issued these directives while presiding over a meeting of the provincial cabinet on Tuesday.

Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has held a meeting with the KPPSC to discuss the shortage of teachers in public sector schools and colleges. He has ordered the Secretary of the Education Ministry to ensure newly constructed colleges are opened for students as soon as possible.

Thousands of teachers, ex-FATA employees and hundreds of doctors have been regularized in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Paksistan) province. Overall, the provincial government has regularized around 63,000 employees including 58,000 teachers and 4,070 ad-hoc doctors.
