Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore denied entry to dozens of students who arrived late for the ongoing intermediate examinations. Unfavorable conditions owing to ongoing monsoon season forced closure of the examination centers in the provincial capital. Students barred from appearing in the exam due to late arrival.

Students from BISE Lahore staged a protest when they were denied entry to sit in their final exam paper. The staff at BISE informed the concerned Police Station and one of its team reached the spot immediately. Officers not only dispersed the protesting students but also arrested several of them.

BISE Lahore’s staff members deployed at Lawrence Road exam center to accommodate late comers have been criticised by students for causing inconvenience. BISE officials have defended the decision of their staff, saying that they are not obliged to accommodate such latecomers and urged students to arrive at centers earlier.
